Thomas Heatherwick creates some amazing buildings, but not only is he an architect, he’s also designed buses, bridges and furniture. A true designer in every sense of the word. Here is his TEDtalk. His methods for adding a higher percentage of landscaping around high rise buildings, creating a more interesting draw bridge, making a power plant beautiful and bringing texture and materiality back into design are truly great.
