Hunter Fan

I am a fan, of this fan. I bought it vintage somewhere about 5 years ago. I don’t remember where, but I do remember that it was only $20. When the shop keeper told me that it worked, I almost didn’t believe him, so he plugged it in… and said some oil would help keep it going for many more years… he was right.

Made in the USA by Hunter circa 1940-1950 (TBD). The new designs by Hunter (and everyone else) really need to take a look back at older styles for some inspiration. They’re lacking all of the things that make vintage fans so popular and awesome. Vintage fans are heavy, well made, beautiful, and they last a lifetime.. to say the least.

Restored, this is what my fan would look like. But I think I like mine just the way it is. Scarred with history.
