Mid-Century Inspired Kitchen Renovation (Before & After!)

I am so excited to share this recently completed kitchen renovation! Inspired by the building itself, the kitchen design took inspiration from the mid-century modern (MCM) era of design. This co-op building was built in 1950, just across the Manhattan bridge, on the Brooklyn side. With a shared love of MCM design (with the clients), I took the opportunity to create a kitchen reminiscent of when it was originally built, but with all of the modern amenities.

I brought in midcentury inspired details everywhere that it made sense. This included the cabinet pull hardware, the lighting, the faucet lines, the backsplash pattern, the main dimmer switch, the outlet covers, and the counter stools. Here are some images of those items:
